Evansville's Dunigan YMCA just got a lot more exciting for kids!

They announced that this summer, they will have Nerf Battle Camps. The Y gave a pretty awesome description of what these camps will consist of on their website:

Recruit your team and sharpen your skills.  Participants are split into two squads and play a variety of games…Capture the Flag, Dodgeball, Team Elimination, Ninja Nerf Course, Rescue the General and more.  All participants need to bring their own trusty Nerf blaster (ball or dart version).  Eye protection is required.  We will supply all the balls/darts.  Each participant will receive a Nerf camo camp t-shirt.

These Nerf Battle Camps are offered at the Dunigan location on Evansville's east side. The camps are for children ages 6 through 10. There will be two camps offered this summer, May 26-29 (Tuesday-Friday) and July 27-31 (Monday-Friday). Both camps will run 9:00 – 10:30 AM and are open to members and nonmembers of the Y.

Dunigan also offers Nerf Battle Classes that begin in April. That way you can fine tune your skills before the Nerf Battle Camps begin this summer.

I can remember in college, a group of friends and I would have Nerf wars in the dorm. Nerf Battles are fun for kids and adults alike. Maybe the Y might consider adult Nerf Battles in the near future. I know that I'd play...and I am sure that I am not the only adult that wouldn't mind reliving their childhood Nerf fandom.

For more information on the Nerf Battle Camps, you can visit the Y's website here. And if you want to take your Nerf Battles on the road, Louisville has an indoor Nerf arena that you will love!
