Tessie The Spunky Pit Bull Needs A Forever Home
The Vanderburgh Humane Society (VHS) in Evansville has pets of all shapes and sizes. Or, as Executive Director, Kendall Paul likes to say when she stops by the studio on Thursdays, "all makes and models, and all certified pre-owned." They also have them of all ages, from puppies and kittens that are weeks old to dogs and cats that have been around for a while. So there is an excellent likelihood that the VHS will have a pet that fits your lifestyle!
Meet Our VHS Pet of the Week
Meet Tessie! Tessie is a spunky 6-year-old pit bull mix, and this girl certainly does not act her age. She’s all about chasing after her favorite stuffed toys and showing the other pups who’s boss!
@my105.3 TESSIE is our @vhslifesaver Pet of the Week! She is a sweet 6-year-old pitty available for adoption at the Vanderburgh Humane Society! #adoptadog #adoptdontdshop ♬ Happy - Audiodeity
Tessie is treat-motivated and enjoys conquering new challenges, so if you’ve got some fun obstacles in your yard or a few tasty snacks to share, she’s all in! She also loves to play with other dogs, just as long as they know she’s the queen of the playground! Tessie is looking for her forever home, and you can adopt her today for just $200.
More About the Vanderburgh Humane Society
The VHS was founded in 1957 to provide protection for homeless animals, intervention for animals in abusive environments, and community education to encourage prevention of animal abuse and pet overpopulation. Located in Evansville, Indiana, the VHS serves as a surrender and adoption agency for unwanted pets. The VHS receives no tax-based funding whatsoever. Therefore, it depends on the generosity of the corporate community and the public at large to continue, and hopefully expand, the much-needed services it offers.
