Guns & Hoses 2027 Fighter Applications Are Now Open

I’ve reached the point in my life when I know full well what I am and am NOT capable of, and I can tell you two things that fall into the latter category – being a first responder and being a fighter. I am way too big of a weenie. I do, however, have a ton of respect for anyone who can do either thing, or in this case, BOTH!

A Call to Local First Responders

If you are a member of the first responder community, and you think you have what it takes to step into the ring for a great cause – now is your chance to prove it. 911 Gives Hope just announced that applications are now open for anyone interested in fighting at GUNS & HOSES 2027!

What Guns & Hoses Is All About

Guns & Hoses is a charity boxing event between cops and firefighters – and other first responders like EMS, dispatchers, etc. It began back in 2008 here in Evansville, and since then has raised more than $2 million for Tri-State charities and others in need of help. Those funds are distributed each year by 911 Gives Hope. Over the years, the events have featured fighters from Evansville, Vanderburgh County, Henderson, Warrick County, Dubois, Princeton, and Washington.

Time to Train for April 2027

The 19^th annual Guns & Hoses event is coming up in April of 2027. That may seem like a long way off, but the men and women competing in the ring will need every bit of that time to prepare for their match.

Ready to Step Into the Ring?

So, do you feel like strapping on the gloves and the headgear and going a few rounds in front of a packed Ford Center? Do you know someone else who might? Now is the time to step up and say YES!
