It’s the 5th Annual Gumbo Cook-Off on West Franklin Street
Mmmmm. Can you smell the Gumbo? You will soon on West Franklin Street for the 5th Annual Gumbo Cook-off!
If you're not familiar with gumbo, it's a seasoned soup or stew that combines seafood, chicken, or meat with a gravy or sauce and is very popular in our Southern states like Louisiana. There's many varieties & recipes and it's grown in popularity here in Indiana!
On Saturday, February 3, 2018, you're invited to enjoy some delicious gumbo for just $20. You'll get an armband to wear and a keepsake bowl. The event is hosted by the Franklin Street Events Association and will take place on West Franklin Street from 1 pm - 4 pm.
Only 1,000 armbands will be available! So be sure to purchase yours early! Visit their Facebook page to buy yours today. You can also stop by Thyme in the Kitchen or Lamasco Bar and Grill on Franklin Street for purchases.
Please bring your own spoon! Or, you can purchase a spoon for $1 with proceeds to benefit the not for profits in the cook-off.
