There’s a New Place to Grab Coffee and Lunch in Downtown Evansville
New Downtown Evansville Restaurant Brings Coffee and Lunch to Main Street
If you work in Downtown Evansville or you’re always looking for another reason to head downtown for lunch there’s officially a new spot to add to your list.
Global Exchange, the newest concept from the team behind Pangea Kitchen, is now open to the public inside the Old National Bank building at One Main Street in Downtown Evansville.
And despite being located inside the bank building, this isn’t just a place for Old National Bank employees to grab lunch. Global Exchange is open to everyone.

From Morning Coffee to a Downtown Lunch Stop
Global Exchange takes over the first-floor space previously occupied by The Deli, which closed at the end of July.
The new concept gives downtown workers and visitors another option throughout the first half of the day, beginning with coffee and pastries at 7 a.m.
Then, starting at 10:30 a.m., lunch takes over.
The menu includes sandwiches, soups, homestyle plate lunch specials and a salad bar. Lunch is served until 2 p.m., while the salad bar is available until 1:30 p.m.
The restaurant also plans to offer catering, along with an elevated coffee program that is being gradually rolled out.

They're Even Baking the Bread In-House
One detail that immediately caught my attention is the bread.
Owner Randy Hobson recently shared a look at some of the breads being baked in-house. Those breads aren't only being made for Global Exchange, either. They're also being used throughout the Pangea Restaurant Group.
Chef KB has also shared a look at Global Exchange's opening lunch menu, salad bar and one particularly good-looking burger.
Like Hobson's other restaurants, Global Exchange will focus on locally sourced ingredients and house-made dishes, while also incorporating flavors and dishes inspired by cultures from around the world.
So, while you can grab something familiar and comforting for lunch, don't be surprised to see a few options that encourage you to try something different, too.

You May Already Know the Restaurants Behind Global Exchange
Even if the Global Exchange name is new to you, there's a pretty good chance you've heard of some of the other restaurants in its family.
The Pangea Restaurant Group also includes Pangea Kitchen, Pangea Pizzeria and 2nd Language in Evansville, along with Sazón y Fuego in Newburgh.

Another Reason to Grab Lunch Downtown
Global Exchange officially opened to the public on Monday, August 10, at One Main Street in Downtown Evansville.
Whether you're already downtown for work, meeting someone for lunch or just looking for somewhere new to grab a bite, Global Exchange gives you another locally owned option to check out.
Stop by starting at 7 a.m. for coffee and pastries, or swing in between 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. to check out the lunch menu for yourself.
