Wesselman Woods

Wesselman Woods is a total gem located in the heart of Evansville.  Wesselman Woods works hard to be a place where people can go to learn and experience nature.
They also host many educational events, and one of my personal favorites is the Maple Sugarbush Festival, where you can enjoy all-you-can-eat pancakes topped with maple syrup that was made from trees at Wesselman Woods, and it is absolutely delicious!

45th Annual Maple Sugarbush Festival

If you have never been to the Maple Sugarbush Festival, it is definitely an even you need to check out! It's an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast, made with maple syrup gathered from the trees inside Wesselman Woods. Wesselman Woods has been hard at work collecting the maple sugar harvest from the trees of Wesselman Woods. They've been harvesting and getting the syrup ready just in time for the annual Maple Sugarbush Festival! This year the pancake breakfast will take place on two different days March 4th & March 5th. You find all of the event details, here.

Wesselman Woods seeking Volunteers

The annual Maple Sugarbush Festival is Wesselman Woods's largest community event, and as you can imagine for an event of this caliber, many people have to come together to make it work. Wesselman Woods took to Facebook to say that they are needing volunteers for the two days of the Maple Sugarbush Festival.  Volunteers receive a free breakfast for helping to make this event happen.
