Wait It's Not Even Winter Yet?

If this is your first time hearing this… I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but technically, it’s *not even winter yet.* I know, I know — if you’re like me, the moment the temperature dips below 50 degrees, your brain immediately declares, “Yup, winter has arrived.” But the official first day of winter isn’t until December 21.

Four Long Months Ahead

And bear with me here… If we’re not even in the heart of winter yet, that means we’ve still got a long four months ahead of us. Is your seasonal depression kicking in yet? Mine might be creeping in just a little — mostly because I can’t go on my long walks like I’m used to. My choices right now are either the treadmill or freezing my face off outside, and honestly? Neither one sounds appealing.

But here’s the thing: when it comes to winter, there are two very distinct characters in this story — and most of us fall firmly into one category or the other.

Team Lorelai Gilmore

On one side, you have the *Lorelai Gilmores* of the world — the people who light up at the sight of snow, who love sledding, who somehow enjoy walking in 20-degree weather, and who will happily build a snowman at any hour of the day.

Team Ebenezer Scrooge

And then… there are the *Ebenezer Scrooges.* The ones who dread the cold, would rather skip the whole season entirely, and daydream about being on a beach with a fruity drink in hand.

As for me? I am somewhere smack in the middle. I have my Lorelai days and my Scrooge days — and maybe you can relate.

So, which one are you this year?
