You only have a few days left to 'Back Your Band' and vote for the best high school marching band in the Tri-State. Vote as many times as you want! We will close the poll at 11:59pm on Sunday, October 25th, and we will announce the winner during the MY Morning Show on Monday, October 26th. The winning band will get a sweet trophy from Tri-State Trophies!

There is no doubt that marching bands kids have really gotten the short end of the stick because of this coronavirus nonsense. Due to safety concerns, the powers that be decided to cancel the entire competition season for marching bands. I'm referring to the ISSMA (Indiana State School Music Association) competition, which includes local, regional and semi-state shows, leading up to the state finals held at Lucas Oil Stadium on Indianapolis.

In addition to losing their competitions, marching bands also lost out on all of there invitational shows, which serve as really important fundraisers for each school's music departments, and it allows the band to fine tune their program for the state competition. So, without the competition and the invitationals, these talented young people were left with practicing and playing simply for the love of music and and the joy they get from working with their bandmates.

The band season would normally be ramping up right about now, but this year, their season is already over. We want to give the bands one final chance to compete, but in this case, everyone is invited to take part. We want to know which Tri-State school has the best marching band. This time, it really has nothing to do with any musical ability or marching precision or choreography - it all comes down to your vote(s). So, get to voting!
