Spirit Halloween Is Officially Back in Evansville and the First Sign Is Already Up

You know the trend where, as soon as it hits November 1st, some people put up their Halloween decorations and take the Christmas tree out that night. Well, I realized that some people feel the same way about transitioning from July 4th to July 5th, summer ends, and spooky season begins. I'm all about spooky season, but if you're REALLY into it, this might be the update you've been waiting for.

The first sign that Spirit Halloween is coming back to Evansville has officially appeared, and it's making Halloween fans even more excited for what's ahead. I mean, there's just something about buying the fake blood and perfecting the ultimate trendy costume to show out for another year of All Hallows Eve.

Here's Where Spirit Halloween Is Opening

The seasonal Halloween store is getting ready to move into the former JOANN Fabric and Craft Stores building at 929 N. Green River Road in the Shoe Carnival Towne Centre.

The JOANN location closed back in May 2025, leaving many people wondering what would move into the large storefront. Now we have our answer, at least for the fall season.

While the Spirit Halloween sign is officially up, the company hasn't announced an opening date just yet.

Spooky Season Is Right Around the Corner

Even though we're still enjoying summer, Spirit Halloween stores popping up across the country are always one of the first signs that fall is getting closer. We are at the point where store shelves are starting to fill with costumes, decorations, animatronics, and everything you need to transform your home into a haunted house, and I don’t know about you, but that makes me super excited.

If you're planning a Halloween party, looking for this year's hottest costume, or just love browsing the creepy displays, you'll want to keep an eye on this location.

For now, all that's left is waiting for the doors to officially open. Judging by the sign already hanging outside, it probably won't be much longer before Halloween shopping season officially begins in Evansville.
