Boo at the Zoo Is Back in Evansville and Here’s What Families Need to Know
Boo at the Zoo Is Back in Evansville, and Tickets Are on Sale Now!
Halloween is right around the corner, and if you're looking for something fun to do with the kids this October, Mesker Park Zoo & Botanic Garden has you covered!
One of Evansville's favorite Halloween traditions, Boo at the Zoo, is returning for six nights this October. So, get those Halloween costumes ready, grab your little ghosts and goblins, and prepare for a night of spooky fun at the zoo!
And here's your reminder to plan ahead because tickets are already on sale!

More Than Just Trick-or-Treating
Of course, Halloween wouldn't be complete without some candy, but Boo at the Zoo has a lot more going on than just trick-or-treating.
Families can look forward to live music, animal encounters, food trucks, games, and plenty of Halloween fun throughout the zoo.
It's a great excuse to get the kids dressed up, enjoy an evening outside, and make some Halloween memories without having to go too far from home.
Just keep in mind that this is an after-hours event, so some of the animals may not be visible during your visit.
When Is Boo at the Zoo?
Boo at the Zoo will take place over two weekends in October, giving families several opportunities to join in on the fun.
Friday and Saturday, October 16, 17, 23, and 24
- Event hours: 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Entry gates close at 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, October 18 and 25
- Event hours: 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Entry gates close at 5:30 p.m.
The zoo will also close early on these dates to prepare for the festivities.

An Accessibility Night Is Planned, Too!
One thing I really love about this event is that Mesker Park Zoo is also offering an Accessibility Night on Sunday, October 25.
It's an opportunity for more families to take part in the Halloween fun, including guests who may benefit from accessibility accommodations.
Families interested in attending should check with the zoo for details about what accommodations will be available that evening.

Here's How to Get Your Tickets
If Boo at the Zoo sounds like something your family would enjoy, don't wait until you get to the gate to purchase tickets.
Advance tickets are required, and tickets are only available through the zoo's official website.
There's also a little bonus if you're already a zoo member! Active members receive a $2 discount per ticket.
You can find event information and purchase your tickets directly through [Mesker Park Zoo & Botanic Garden's official events page].
Halloween is always a fun time around the Tri-State, and Boo at the Zoo is one of those traditions that gives families another reason to get out and enjoy the season.
So, whether your little one is dressing up as a dinosaur, a superhero, or something a little spooky, this might be one Halloween outing worth adding to your calendar!
