The weekly Associated Press rankings for Indiana High School Football were released on Tuesday, and once again, three teams from the Tri-State area find themselves sitting pretty on top of their respective classes.

Despite not having starting quarterback Evan Deig due to an ankle injury, the Reitz Panthers didn't miss a beat with back up Reid Mahan as they took care of business against Harrison Friday night, 28-0. The victory kept the Panthers undefeated on the season and number one in the Class 4A rankings.

In Class 3A, the Gibson Southern Titans remain number one for the second straight week after a dominating 58-7 over previously unbeaten Princeton. The Titans have yet to score less than 56 points in a game over the first five weeks.

Mater Dei also remained on top in Class 2A, a position they've held since before the season started, thanks to a 42-14 win over Class 5A North at the Reitz Bowl.

Other teams in the area finding themselves in the ranking include Heritage Hills moving up a spot to number five in Class 3A after a 42-7 over North Posey to remain undefeated while Southridge finds themselves just outside the top 10 at the 11 spot.

In Class 4A, the 4-1 Jasper Wildcats stay put at number six, while in 5A, Castle sits at number 17 in advance of their SIAC matchup Friday night against Mater Dei.
