To determine 2024's best and worst states for women's equality, WalletHub compared data from all 50 states in three main categories: Workplace Environment, Education & Health, and Political Empowerment.

Indiana is 2024's 10th WORST State for Women's Equality

As a lifelong Hoosier, I get no pleasure out of sharing results like this. I would much rather brag about Indiana in stories like "New Study Reveals Indiana Has One of the Best School Systems in America." But, I guess if I'm going to share the good, I've got to share the bad as well, and this report was not so good for Indiana. Here's a look at how the Hoosier state ended up in the bottom ten.

  • Indiana ranks 41st overall in women's equality
  • Indiana ranks 40th in Workplace Environment
  • Indiana ranks 22nd in Education & Health
  • Indiana ranks 38th in Political Empowerment
  • Indiana has the 46th (yikes) largest income gap in America

38 Celebrities Who Were Born in Indiana

There are a bunch of famous folks that everyone knows were born in Indiana, but there are even more that you didn't know about. Most of this list is arranged in alphabetical order, except for the handful of celebrities born in our neck of the woods here in southern Indiana. I gotta give them a little preferential treatment.
