After a nail-biting victory over the Harrison Warriors, the Mater Dei Wildcats sit atop the Associated Press Class 2A poll for the fourth week in a row. Meanwhile, thanks to their 35-30 win over the Castle Knights, Reitz finds themselves sitting on top in Class 4A. But they're not the only teams in the area getting props.

Sticking with Class 4A, the Jasper Wildcats remain in third place after a dominant win over Boonville to start the season at 3-0, and the Harrison Warriors find themselves sitting at 17 after the aforementioned narrow defeat at the hands of the Wildcats to take their season record to 2-1.

In Class 3A, the Gibson Southern Titans whose defense has only allowed seven points to be scored on them over the first three weeks remain at number two, while the undefeated Patriots of Heritage Hills slip a spot to number six despite a 3-0 record to start the season. Also in 3A, the Southridge Raiders fall from number 12 to 15 after a 42-6 win over Forest Park to move to 2-1 on the season.
