Pregnancy Couldn’t Stop This Dedicated Evansville Nurse From Saving Lives During the Pandemic
It has always been apparent, to a lot of us, how difficult nursing can be, but after the events of 2020, it became clear to everyone. Throughout the pandemic, we heard countless stories about nurses all around the county - their heroism, their sacrifice, their dedication, their passion, and the care they've provided our loved ones.
MY105.3 and Diamond Valley Federal Credit Union want to shine the spotlight on some of the amazing nurses here in the Tri-State. We asked you to nominate a special nurse and tell us what makes them so special. Each day this week - which happens to be Nurse's Week - we will randomly select a different nominated nurse and share their story online and on the air. The five nurses we choose will also be qualified to win a getaway to the French Lick Resort in French Lick, Indiana.
For Wednesday, May 12th, we want to recognize JESSICA BROWN. Jessica works at Valley Surgery Center, and she was nominated by her mom Nicki. Here's what this proud mama had to say about her girl...
My daughter started out as a student nurse in 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital and ended up working there until 2021. She is a very dedicated, hard-working mother of two beautiful daughters. When she was expecting her second daughter, she worked to term through the pandemic. As most nurses do, she has worked through breaks and lunches! She does a great job and goes above and beyond for her patients! I think she deserves a nice getaway!
From all of us here at MY105.3 and Diamond Valley Federal Credit Union, we want to say THANK YOU, Jessica, for all you do each day! We appreciate you!
