Here’s Why You’ll See Evansville Police Officers On The Roof at Dunkin’ Donuts
Get ready to dunk in some dough for a good cause! The Cop on a Rooftop Special Olympics fundraiser is happening at the brand-new Dunkin' Donuts location on South Green River Road in Evansville. Dunkin' is teaming up with local law enforcement to support Special Olympics Indiana.
Cop on a Rooftop
On Friday, August 17, 2024, from 5:00 AM to 12:00 PM, brave officers from the Evansville Police Department and Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office will be perched high above the ground, collecting donations for Special Olympics athletes. It’s a quirky and fun way to raise money for a cause that’s close to the hearts of many.
Don't worry, you don't have to get on the roof to make a donation!
Every dollar raised goes directly to supporting Special Olympics Indiana, ensuring that athletes with intellectual disabilities can compete at no cost. It's a small price to pay for the joy and empowerment these games bring to our community.
Guests who donate to the Special Olympics will receive a free donut coupon. You can make that donation in the drive-thru that morning either by cash or the Venmo app.
Officer Merriss and Indiana State Police Trooper D. Smith were honored to walk alongside the Special Olympics 2022 Athlete of the Year, Trinity Reynolds.
Meet Your Local Heroes
So, mark your calendars and plan to stop by Dunkin’ Donuts at 848 S Green River Rd. this Friday and make a donation or should I say donut-ation to support Special Olympics Indiana.
Who knows, you might even get a chance to chat with Special Projects Coordinator Taylor Merriss from the Evansville Police Department or Lieutenant Chris Roe from the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office.
Let’s show our support for Special Olympics Indiana and make this year's Cop on a Rooftop a huge success!
