I Finally Tried Azzip Pizza — Here’s My Review
My First Ever Azzip Pizza Experience
Yesterday marked a pretty big milestone for me — I officially tried Azzip Pizza for the first time ever. I know, I know… how did I wait this long? Coming from Illinois and Missouri, Azzip just wasn’t a thing. In fact, I didn’t realize until *after* my visit that Azzip is pretty much an Indiana and Kentucky exclusive, which somehow made the experience feel even more official.
The Name Got Me Curious Right Away
As soon as I moved here, Azzip had my attention — and honestly, the name alone did it. Then someone explained that it’s similar to MOD Pizza, but instead of a brick oven, your pizza rides through on a conveyor belt. That was it. I don’t remember a time I’ve ever eaten food off a conveyor belt, and I was immediately intrigued.
Pizza of the Month? Say Less.
I also have to appreciate the fact that Azzip does a pizza of the month. Different toppings, new flavors, and something fun to try every time? That’s a dangerous game for someone who loves pizza as much as I do. I already know that’s going to be a problem for me going forward.
Rookie Mistakes Were Made
With it being my first visit, I wasn’t totally sure what to order. And while I was standing there trying to decide, I couldn’t help but feel a little jealous of the girl in front of me who ordered a pizza that looked… square. Turns out, that was the deep-dish. Rookie mistake on my part.
Build-Your-Own, But Make It Temporary
I ended up playing it safe and building my own small pizza, which is usually my go-to at MOD Pizza too. No regrets at all — but I already know exactly what I’m getting next time: the deep-dish and maybe whatever pizza of the month they’re featuring.
Calling All Evansville Pizza Experts
Now I need your help. Am I missing another Indiana pizza staple? Is there an Azzip pizza hack I don’t know about yet? I’m officially new to the Evansville pizza world. My pizza history mostly consisted of Casey’s Pizza and Pizza Hut — both solid — but clearly, I need more.
