The votes have been cast, and once again no one was able to overcome the top dogs (or Panthers, Wildcats, or Titans in this case) for the number one spots in Classes 2, 3, and 4A.

The Mater Dei Wildcats remain tops in Class 2A after taking care of business against Bosse last Friday night. The Wildcats received all the first place votes and have held the number one spot since the preseason.

In Class 3A, Gibson Southern continues to reign supreme after another bulldozing win over Pike Central. The Titans have scored 407 points over the first seven weeks of the season while only giving up a total of 43, holding three teams scoreless in the process.

Also in Class 3A, the Heritage Hills Patriots bump up to number five after finding themselves in the seventh spot last week thanks to a 17-7 win over previously one-loss Southridge who sit in the 14th spot.

In 4A, Reitz remains king of the mountain after a 49-20 win over Class 5A North Friday night. The Panthers received 17 out of 18 first places votes to stay atop the rankings. The Lowell Red Devils (in the northwestern corner of the state) received the other vote.

Elsewhere in 4A, Jasper moves up one spot to number four while the Harrison Warriors find themselves in the top 20 after a miraculous come-from-behind win over Castle.
