Here's what you need to know for Thursday January 24, 2019:

Weather from Eyewitness News: Clouds & Some Sun...Breezy & Cold...High in the mid 30’s. Few Flakes in the Afternoon & Evening.

The Gibson County Chamber of Commerce has a new Executive Director, Patty Vanoven, and Office Manager, Amy Hill. The public is invited to their welcome event this afternoon from 4-6, at the chamber in Princeton.

For the first time since 1986, the annual State of the Union speech has been postponed. This all stems from the government shutdown. Speaker of the House Pelosi denied Trump access to the House, and the president has agreed to postpone the speech until after the shutdown has ended.

Speaking of the shutdown, we’re hearing from more and more businesses that are helping those furloughed government employees. In fact, Seton Harvest and Great Harvest Bread Company are doing that today. They are giving away free produce and loaves of bread starting at 3pm at Great Harvest. (While supplies last).

Hacienda will provide a FREE WET BURRITO to any furloughed federal worker each day until the shutdown ends.
