Indiana State Fair Announces Changes to Free Stage Concert Lineup
Why the Indiana State Fair Changed Its Concert Lineup
The Indiana State Fair recently announced that two acts originally scheduled to perform on the Hoosier Lottery Free Stage would NOT be able to perform in 2026. And to make up for the sudden change, the fair is adding two new replacement acts for those nights!
The first change to the lineup is on day one of the 2026 Indiana State Fair. The Beach Boys will not be performing in 2026 as originally planned, as their show has been postponed and will now take place in 2027. So, who is stepping up to fill those big shoes?
The Four Tops | Friday, August 7th

The Four Tops became Motown legends after breaking through with "Baby I Need Your Loving" in 1964, followed by a string of hits including "I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch)," "Reach Out I'll Be There," and "Bernadette." The iconic group was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1990.
The Spinners | Friday, August 7th

The Spinners first found national success at Motown with "It's a Shame," a Stevie Wonder-produced hit that launched the group's rise to R&B stardom. With millions of records sold, 18 Gold and Platinum albums, six Grammy nominations, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and a 2023 induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the Spinners remain one of music's most celebrated vocal groups.
The other change to the concert schedule is Wednesday, August 12th, when Bret Michaels was scheduled to perform. He is unable to make it to Indianapolis, so two great rock bands will take his place.
Warrant | Wednesday, August 12th

Warrant exploded onto the rock scene in 1989 with a string of hit songs including "Down Boys," "Cherry Pie," "Heaven," and "I Saw Red." Their power ballad "Heaven" reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 1 on the Rolling Stone chart, helping cement the band's multiplatinum success.
Vixen | Wednesday, August 12th

There’s only one female rock band from the 80s who sold over two million albums worldwide, had six #1 videos on MTV and four songs chart in Billboard’s Top 100, and that band is VIXEN.
The 2026 Indiana State Fair runs from August 7th through August 23rd (closed Mondays), and all of these concerts are included with your admission.
