The Best Food at the Indiana State Fair Has Been Chosen
If you've ever wandered the Indiana State Fairgrounds sniffing the air like a bloodhound trying to decide between funnel cake and a corn dog, you know the struggle is real. Every year, Fair-goers get to put their taste buds where their mouths are (literally) and vote for the best of the best in the Taste of the Fair competition. And friends, the votes have been counted, and we have winners.
First Place: The S'Mork — Nitro Hog BBQ

Part s'more, part pork, all genius. The S'Mork sounds like exactly the kind of glorious mashup that could only be dreamed up at a state fair, where "why not combine two of America's favorite comfort foods" is basically a way of life. Congrats to Nitro Hog BBQ for taking home the crown.
Second Place: Pickle Pesto Pizza — Swains Concessions

Tangy, herby, cheesy, and just a little bit weird in the best way possible. Swains Concessions proved that pickle-flavored anything is still having a moment.
Third Place: Raspberry Sweet Tea Slushie — Colp's Concessions

When August in Indiana turns into a sauna, nothing hits quite like a frozen, fruity, Southern-inspired sip. Colp's Concessions earned their spot on the podium by keeping fairgoers cool and refreshed.
You Still Have Time to Try the Winners
The Indiana State Fair continues through August 23rd, which means you've still got time to taste these championship creations for yourself. Whether you're Team S'Mork, Team Pickle Pizza, or firmly in the Slushie camp, one thing's for sure — Indiana knows how to Fair food.
