Tyson Foods Recalls Chicken Strips Due to Metal Contamination

Check your freezer. Those chicken strips you have in there may contain metal fragments.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture issued a recall early Saturday morning covering nearly 12 million pounds of Tyson Chicken Strips in a number of varieties. The Department says the ready-to-eat strips "may be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically pieces of metal."

This is actually an expansion of a previous recall issued back in March after the Department received two complaints about consumers finding small metal fragments in their chicken product. That number has now risen to six.

The recall covers a long list of products that were made anywhere between October 1st, 2018 and March 8th, 2019. If you have any of the following items in your freezer, DO NOT EAT THEM! Return them to where you bought them for a refund, or exchange. Check the USDA website for the complete list, as well as images of the labels.
