The $10 Coffee Craze: Treat Yourself or Chase the Cup?
What's Your Go-To Pick Me Up?
Today on the show, we asked you what was your signature pick-me-up drink. You know, that one thing that gives you just enough energy (and maybe a little joy) to keep you going.
So, what’s your go-to? Do you make your own cup of joe at home, swear by a certain soda, or are you one of the brave souls who will happily wait in a line wrapped around the building just to grab a $10 coffee — especially if it comes with a free iconic souvenir cup?
No Shame In The $10 Game
No shame either way! I’ll be the first to admit it, this past weekend, I dropped over $20 at two different coffee shops. It was my self-care weekend, and I wanted to treat myself to my favorite spots. Sometimes that $10 beverage is worth every penny if it gives you that little boost of happiness.
The Starbucks Cup Frenzy
But let’s talk about the hoops we jump through for those free cups. Starbucks recently released one of their limited-edition reusable cups — and when they do, it’s always chaos (the fun kind!). You’ve got just a few hours to snag one because once they’re gone, they’re gone. This time around, people were driving all over town trying to find a store that still had them.
From Free to $30 Collectible
If you were like me and you missed out on the freebie, Starbucks launched the same bear-shaped glass for sale… for nearly $30! It’s shaped like a little bear, wearing a green beanie, complete with the Starbucks logo on its belly. It’s adorable — and yes, it’s gone viral. So much so that people are now turning their old honey bottles into DIY iced coffee cups inspired by it.
At the end of the day, whether you’re spending $10 on a latte or sipping home-brewed coffee from a mason jar, it’s all about finding that little thing that makes your day brighter. Because we all deserve a treat especially if it comes with caffeine and a cute cup.
