I’ve never tried eating grits before until one and half years ago while on my honeymoon. I've eaten shrimp many, many times but never with grits!  My husband and I were staying at a Bed & Breakfast, near the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC.  One of the breakfasts they served was Shrimp ‘n Grits. Up front, I told my husband that I’d probably give him my serving because it didn’t sound good to me at all.  Boy was I wrong!  This dish was dee-lish-us.  It melted in my mouth.  I ate every little grit in my bowl and all the shrimp, too.  So, my husband missed out on eating an extra serving! I'm tellin' ya it was the best shrimp ’n grits I’d ever eaten!  The breakfast also included fresh berries and yogurt, fresh baked muffins, piping hot coffee, and juices.

I’m not a southerner, but, I could get used to eating some of the south’s traditional dishes.
