Red Cross Accepting Donations for Victims of Hurricane Harvey
This past Friday, August 25th while most of us were enjoying the beautiful weather here in the Tristate area, Harvey made landfall Friday night as a Category 4 hurricane in Southeast Texas along the Gulf Coast. And the rain is expected to continue through most of the week according to the National Weather Service, making matters even worse.
Here's how you can help thousands and thousands of people affected by the devastation from Hurricane Harvey. Even if it's just a small amount, every little bit helps.
Visit: redcross.org or call 1-800 RED CROSS or text the word HARVEY to 90999 to make a $10 donation.
Other organizations are also helping victims such as the Salvation Army. Visit: helpsalvationarmy.org or call Salvation Army 1-800-725-2769.
The Red Cross and Salvation Army are looking for volunteers to help out at the shelters set up to help those who fled the Gulf Coast.
