Want to Be My Next Goodwill Glam Shopping Partner?
Another Goodwill Glam Shopping Trip, Another New Friend
I know I say this every single time, but I REALLY had a blast with Goodwill Glam this month.
One of my favorite things about doing Goodwill Glam has been getting to know so many different people in our community. Yes, I love thrifting. Yes, I love putting together cute outfits. And yes, finding an amazing piece for ridiculously cheap will probably always give me a little bit of a rush. But, the best part has become the people I get to shop with.
And this month, I got to spend the day shopping with Megan.

Meet This Month's Goodwill Glam Winner, Megan
Megan was so much fun from the second we started shopping.
One thing I quickly learned about her is that she doesn't necessarily fit into one specific style and I love that.
One day she might be feeling a little boho, while the next day she might want to add some glam. No matter what she's wearing, though, Megan likes to find that sweet spot between cute and comfortable.
And don't we all?
Before we started filling the cart, Megan told me about the types of clothes she feels most comfortable wearing. From there, we got to work pulling pieces that fit her usual style while also throwing in a few things that pushed her slightly outside of her comfort zone.
Because what's a shopping trip without somebody saying, "Just try it on!" at least once?

Shopping With Megan Was Half the Fun
Megan is the type of person you want to take shopping with you.
The conversation is never dull, she makes every find exciting and she's willing to have some fun with what she tries on.
That's probably one of my favorite things about thrifting in general. You never really know what you're going to find. Sometimes you walk past something on the rack that you would NEVER pick out at a regular store, but for a few bucks? Suddenly you're willing to give it a chance.
And sometimes those random pieces end up being the best finds of the entire trip.
That's exactly why I wanted Megan to try things both inside and outside her normal style. Goodwill Glam isn't about completely changing someone's wardrobe or telling them what they should wear. It's about figuring out what makes them feel good and then seeing what else we can find along the way.

We Had Another Shopping Friend Join Us
This month's shopping trip was even more fun because Megan invited her friend, Artre Patterson, to come along with us.
And let me tell you, Artre was just as amazing.
Having another person there meant even more opinions, more laughs and, of course, another person to encourage you to try on something you might have originally put back on the rack.
By the end of the trip, it felt less like I was there doing a Goodwill Glam shopping spree and more like I was just out shopping with friends.
That's what I've grown to love so much about this series.

And Goodwill Glam Isn't Over Yet!
The even better news is that we aren't done shopping.
Goodwill extended Goodwill Glam for another three months, which means there are still more opportunities for us to hit the racks together.
At this point, I think it's pretty obvious that I don't need much convincing to go thrifting.
Give me a Goodwill, a shopping cart and someone who's ready to try on some clothes, and I'm happy.
I love putting together outfits. I love finding pieces for cheap. But more than anything, I've loved getting to know new people in our community while doing something we can all have fun with.
Megan and Artre made this month's trip another one for the books, and I already can't wait to see who I get to shop with next.
