New Evansville Hyatt Place to Break Ground This Week

Another lodging option is coming to downtown Evansville as the new Hyatt Place plans to break ground this Friday, March 30th.

The ground breaking ceremony is set to begin at 9am this Friday at the site of the new hotel on the corner of Chestnut and 2nd Street. Construction should take about 12-15 months at a cost of $18 million, which has been privately funded. The Hyatt Place will feature 139 rooms along with a fitness center, an indoor pool and a bar and lounge.
