You may not know the name Guy Gilchrist, but I guarantee you're familiar with his work. For nearly 40 years, Guy has been illustrating some of our/your favorite animated characters. Guy is the...guy...responsible for taking Jim Henson's Muppets from the TV screen to newspaper comic strips around the world. As impressive as that is, it's really just scratching the surface on his resume. According to his website (aguygilchristproduction.com)...

He created the “Muppets” comic strip (printed worldwide in 660-plus newspapers daily from 1981 to 1986), and was was instrumental in Henson’s “Fraggle Rock,” and the creation of “The Muppet Babies.” Some of his iconic Muppets artwork was enshrined in the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C. and his work was declared a National Treasure in 1984 by First Lady, Nancy Reagan. Throughout the years, Guy Gilchrist has set his hand to some of the most beloved, high-profile cartoons, such as “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” “Looney Tunes,” “Tom & Jerry,” “Tiny Toons,” “The Pink Panther,” “Minnie Mouse,” and others.

Pretty impressive, right? Bet it'd be pretty cool to meet him, right? Well, you will have the chance to meet him. Guy is bringing his 2020 SAFE, SOCIAL DISTANCED AND SMILING TOUR to Comic Quest (2260 E. Morgan Avenue) in Evansville, on September 15th and 16th.
