World Record Holder Joey Chestnut Will Compete in Owensboro this Spring
The 3rd Annual World Mutton Glutton Sandwich Eating competition is coming back to Owensboro with last year's world record holder Joey Chestnut returning!
As part of the International Bar-B-Q Festival in downtown Owensboro, competitive eater Joey Chestnut will be back to defend his title. Last year he ate 81 mutton sandwiches in 10 minutes.
Will Joey be able to hold onto his title this year? Right now, he holds nearly 40 competitive eating world records including hot dogs, chicken wings, macaroni and cheese, apple pies, funnel cakes, glazed donuts, and more.
The competition will be held at the McConnell Plaza in downtown Owensboro, KY at 4 pm on May 11th with 10 to 12 contestants competing.
The International Bar-B-Q Festival will also feature entertainment, handmade arts and crafts, face painting for the kids and more and will be held May 11th and 12th.
