King Drug & Home Care in Ohio County gave the gift of mobility to a local woman this holiday season. Her daughter wrote Christmas Wish a heart-warming letter to explain why a motorized wheelchair would be important to her family. We knew we needed to help make this dream a reality.

Every year, at the Christmas Wish Headquarters we receive letters involving seniors. Although we're a children's charity, we still try to find a way to help. This year was no exception! Thanks to The Daviess County Lion's Club & Riverpark Eyecare, we gifted an eye exam and glasses to a 76-year-old Grandma. And, because of SparKy, a grieving family got a puppy for Christmas. Check out the beautiful story HERE. We couldn't do any of this work without local business partners!

WHEELCHAIR DONATED FOR OHIO COUNTY MOTHER

Toward the end of the Christmas Wish season, we always take a look at the "adult letters" that were sent in. The wish letter focused on how much a motorized wheelchair would open the world to her and her family. Her current wheelchair has become worn down and unsafe.

"I'm 60 years old and suffer from heart issues and back problems and looking for help for my mother. I don't have anywhere to turn. I would love to see my mother be able to get around her home better and get outside this summer. I greatly appreciate anything you can do for our family."

Of course, our Christmas Wish volunteers sprung into action. Since the family is in Ohio County, we reached out to King Drug and Home Care to see if they'd be willing to help. Without hesitation, they were on board. We live in such a giving community!

We'd like to thank Ryan Radcliff, Amy Willis, Blake Wiggins, Zada Basham, Tim Blair, and the amazing staff at King Drug & Home Care in Hartford.

What is the Wild Image Caught on Ohio County Game Cam?

Trail cameras capture amazing photos all over Western Kentucky, but this one is just unexplainable. It was captured on Friday morning and has left everyone baffled as to what it is exactly.
