The Illinois Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Joliet was on the wrong end of a tornado that damaged the area in July, but some of their famous alumni are coming to the rescue. REO Speedwagon is helping with the repair efforts.

The Illinois Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is located at 9 W. Cass Street in Joliet. A tornado ripped the roof off in mid-July and WGN News is reporting that a famous Illinois band is coming to the rescue.

The report from WGN says that REO Speedwagon felt the need to step up when they learned the Illinois Rock and Roll Hall of Fame was damaged as they are still proud to call the Land of Lincoln home.

You might recall that REO Speedwagon were themselves inducted into the Illinois Rock and Roll Hall of Fame back in 2021. I can't help but think of the perfect symbolism that a band that made "Ridin the Storm Out" famous is now helping the Illinois building that was damaged by a twister get back on its feet. Absolutely classic.
