Holiday World is now open for its 76th season in Santa Claus, Indiana, with Splashin' Safari set to open on May 21st (2022). While the park is a must-go summer destination for families all across the Tri-State and beyond, they are not immune to the struggles of finding staff members for the variety of positions they have that make the park operate smoothly on a day-to-day basis. Like so many businesses recently, they are finding themselves in need of employees to help make sure guests have the best possible time and more importantly, do so safely.

Holiday World Offering $1,000 Lifeguard Bonus

One of those positions is lifeguarding at Splashin' Safari and other water rides within Holiday World. Considering your primary responsibility is to keep an eye out for any trouble in the water and spring into action to save them if necessary, it goes without saying it is a very important position within the park. So much so, Holiday World is offering all lifeguards a $1,000 sign-on bonus paid out in increments of $250 over the course of the summer if you meet the requirements detailed in the graphic below.

The lifeguard position is open to anyone over the age of 15. For more information, and to apply, visit the Jobs section of the Holiday World website.

Holiday World in Need of Bus Drivers

In addition to lifeguards, the park is also looking to hire additional bus drivers to get employees who aren't old enough to drive themselves to the park for work each day. Buses run in the morning and evening with the park offering morning drivers $20 per hour and evening drivers $23 per hour. The position is open to anyone 21-years-old or older who has a CDL Class A or Class B certification with passenger endorsement.

Applications for this position are currently being accepted online.

Perks for Holiday World Employees

If hired by Holiday World, not only do you start getting a paycheck (those bills don't pay themselves), the park offers a number of perks as well, including:

  • In-house parties throughout the season for all Team Members. These "HoliParties" typically include events such as Holimpics and Rides & Water Park Night.
  • Complimentary Tickets:
  • Discounts on food and beverage purchases as well as park merchandise.
  • Employees-only luncheons with free all-you-can-eat buffets.
