The family of 15-year-old Roman Kellough is asking for your help in covering his funeral expenses after the former Central High School student was found dead on campus early Tuesday morning.

Evansville Police officers and Vanderburgh County Sheriff's deputies responded to a 911 call from the school's campus after a student found Roman's body laying in the grass near the school.

Vanderburgh County Coroner, Steve Lockyear was called to the scene and later announced Kellough had died as the result of a self-inflicted gun shot wound. Police confirmed a weapon was found near Roman's body. He had withdrawn from school at the end of the fall semester for unknown reasons according to school officials.

While no one will ever really know what caused Roman to take his own life, many in the area have taken to social media to point the finger at bullying.

A GoFundMe account set up by the family to help cover funeral costs all but confirms it.

The account, set up at some point on Wednesday by Roman's aunt, Chasidy Todd, provides the following info in its description:

On Tuesday Morning 1-3-2017 my 15 year old nephew Roman Matthew Kellough left this world due to the senseless crippling effect of High School Bullying .

Our family is completely devastated.

As a parent, you never want to have to make preparations for the unimaginable at such a young age but our family is now faced with it, and sadly there is no life insurance to help.
I'm making this in hopes of trying to take some of financial burdan off of his parents to ensure that my nephew gets the proper service & burial he deserves.

Any amount you can donate will be greatly appreciated and applied to laying this sweet boy to rest.

If you're unable to donate, I will still ask 2 favors from you.

One being to please keep his parents, siblings, and the rest of our family in your prayers, the other is to be Romans Voice against High School bullying , share this to make it known to everyone, everywhere the devistation & heartbreak bullying can cause. Thank you for anything you can do & God be with us all.
