If you look at lists of the best horror films of all-time, nearly every single one includes the cult classic, The Evil Dead.  It's hard to believe, but that film turns 40-years-old this year.  Yes, the original was released way back in 1981.  In case you don't remember, this may help.

Well, that film, directed by Sam Raimi, spawned a sequel- Evil Dead II- which came out in 1987 and 1992's Army of Darkness.  It has since been rebooted, with Evil Dead bowing in 2013 and a new film, Evil Dead Rise, bowing in 2022.

Well, who knew that Evil Dead was also a musical?  I mean, wait.  What?  Are you kidding?  Yeah, uh, no.  It's a real thing. It even played Off-Broadway back in 2007.  Well, now it's going to be playing right here in Owensboro this Halloween.

By the way, due to the nature of Evil Dead, there is a WARNING for explicit content/language and, of course, fake blood.

If you want a taste of what to expect, here's some footage from the Off-Broadway version.  **By the way, the warning in place for the live version is in place for this video too.**
