Evansville Central Hosts Indiana Marching Band Regionals Saturday
All of the band camps, after school practices, the meticulous hours spent perfecting your footwork and your formations, and all the area invitational shows all lead to this - the beginning of the ISSMA competitions.
ISSMA is the Indiana State School Music Association, and their competitions will eventually name the best marching bands in the state. Those competitions begin this weekend all over the state and even here in Evansville. Central High School will host one of the Regional competitions, bringing schools from all over the state - 25 bands in total - down to our neck of the woods. Local bands performing include Mater Dei, Central, Harrison, North and Reitz.
The first band is scheduled to take the field at 11am and the last band of the day will perform at 8:30pm. You can see the full performance schedule below.
It really will be an exciting day for marching band performances from hundreds of really dedicated and talented students. It looks like it's going to be a beautiful day too. Bonus!
