What to Know Before You Head to Busch Stadium

Baseball season is now officially here and if you know me you know I'm a Cardinals fan. I was born and raised 45 minutes from St. Louis so I've experienced the old Busch Stadium as a little girl and then witnessed the new (current) Busch Stadium and Ball Park Village be built. And if you’re making the short trip to Busch Stadium to cheer on the St. Louis Cardinals, there are a few things you’ll definitely want to know before you go.

From what you can (and can’t) bring, to brand-new food and can’t-miss promos, here’s your game-day cheat sheet.

What You Can't Bring Into Busch Stadium

Nothing is worst when you pack a purse and get to the gate and they tell you, you can't bring that into the game. So, before you load up your bag, here’s the deal: Busch Stadium is pretty fan-friendly but there are still rules.

Leave These at Home:

  •  Hard-sided coolers
  • Large bags (anything oversized will get flagged)
  • Alcohol (no outside booze allowed)
  • Weapons or anything considered unsafe
  • Professional cameras or recording equipment

Good News — You Can Bring:

  • Outside food and drinks (yes, really!)
  • Soft-sided coolers
  • Sealed water bottles or soda

That last one is a big win because not every ballpark allows it.

New Promos You’ll Want to Jump On

The Cardinals are stepping up their game in 2026 with some seriously fan-friendly deals.

"Made in the Lou” Local Food Series

This is one of the coolest additions this season and one of the reasons why I call myself a Cardinals fan.

  • Rotating local St. Louis restaurants throughout the year
  • Different flavors every month
  • Vendors include Hawaiian, Korean, Cajun, and more

It’s like a food festival… inside a baseball game.

New Food You HAVE to Try This Season

If you’re going to a game hungry this year… you’re doing it right. I am excited to try some of these.

Here are some of the buzzworthy new eats:

Must-Try Items:

  • Chicken & Waffles Sandwich (sweet + spicy combo)
  • Birria Ramen (yes, ramen at a ballgame!)
  • Burnt Ends Hot Dog (BBQ lovers, this is for you)
  • Fried Gooey Butter Cake on a Stick (very St. Louis, very indulgent)

Sweet Treats & Extras:

  • Customizable popsicles
  • New cookie flavors + desserts
  • BBQ, noodle bowls, and more variety across the park

Final Thought: Opening Day Just Hits Different

Opening Day in St. Louis isn’t just a game—it’s a full-on celebration. Between the pregame festivities, packed stadium, and brand-new food and promos, there’s honestly no better time to go.

Whether you’re there for the baseball, the snacks, or just the vibes… Busch Stadium is bringing it all this season.
