The Beaver Dam Amphitheater is Going Cashless and This Weekend is the First Test
Heading To The Dam This Weekend? Here Is What You Need To Know Before You Go
If you have plans to head to the Beaver Dam Amphitheater this weekend for George Thorogood and the Marshall Tucker Band, first of all, great taste. Second of all, there is something important you need to know before you pull up to the gate.
The Dam is going completely cashless starting this Saturday, and if you are the type of person who still rolls with a wad of bills in your pocket at concerts, it is time to update your system.
What Is Actually Changing
Beginning this weekend, the Beaver Dam Amphitheater will no longer accept cash for anything inside the venue. We are talking food, drinks, merchandise, all of it. Cards only from here on out, and venue officials say this puts them in line with pretty much every major concert venue, arena, stadium, and theme park across the country that has already made this switch.
The idea is simple. Faster lines, better security, smoother operations, and more time for you to actually enjoy the show instead of waiting around.

But I Only Have Cash
Do not panic. The Dam has you covered. They have reverse ATM kiosks on site where you can load your cash onto a prepaid card before you head in. So you are not stuck; you just have one extra step to take when you arrive. Plan for it and get there a little early so it does not cut into your George Thorogood time.
What Is Happening This Weekend
George Thorogood and the Destroyers are sharing the stage with the Marshall Tucker Band this Saturday at the Beaver Dam Amphitheater, and honestly, this is one of those lineups that do not come around all the time. If you have been on the fence about going, this is your sign to stop thinking about it and buy the ticket.
Just leave the cash at home, bring your card, and get ready for a great night. The Dam said it best themselves, and we are paraphrasing here, but if you want to complain about it, the internet was built for that. Otherwise, they will see you at the show.
