Micky Dolenz, you know the guy from the Monkees, yes he is still around, and yes, he is hitting the road again. Not to mention he is the only one left standing! The orginal members in the band that had passed were Davy Jones who died in 2012, Peter Tork who passed in 2019, and Michael Nesmith in 2021.
From TV Star to Music Legend
Dolenz is best known as the voice and drummer behind The Monkees, the group that went from a TV experiment to a full-blown global music sensation.
We’re talking more than 65 million records sold worldwide… and hit after hit after hit.
Songs like “Last Train to Clarksville,” “I’m a Believer,” and “Daydream Believer” didn’t just top the charts, they defined an era. And yes, those are the songs fans are still hoping to hear live.
Still Going Strong And Still Touring
Here’s what’s really impressive Micky never stopped.
Over the years, he’s built a successful solo career, released multiple albums, and continued touring across the country. He’s shared the stage with artists like Christopher Cross, Todd Rundgren, and Joey Molland, and even paid tribute to his Monkees bandmate Michael Nesmith with his album Dolenz Sings Nesmith.
More recently, he’s been putting his own spin on songs from R.E.M. and released a live album, Live at the Troubadour, showing he’s still got it.
