Did you know that there will be a Blood Moon eclipse later this month? How have I not heard this yet? A full lunar eclipse when the moon passes into the Earth's shadow. It's called a 'blood' moon because of the reddish color that appears during the eclipse.

The next Blood Moon can be see the evening of January 20th, and you can see it at a special viewing party at the Four Freedoms Monument on Evansville's riverfront. The Department of Parks & Recreation, the Evansville Museum, and the Astronomical Society are inviting the public to come out between 9pm-11:30pm. They will provide telescopes to help get a great view and hot chocolate to keep you warm.
