Spring is here, and that (usually) means it's time for some Spring Cleaning. A time to rid yourself of all that junk that you've shoved in the garage, storage shed, or wherever to either make room for new stuff (a.k.a. future junk), or just have some space to breathe. If some of that junk is big and bulky and you don't want to mess with taking it to the dump, the Town of Newburgh will take care of it for you during the Spring edition of their heavy trash pickup.

According to the Town of Newburgh Facebook page, the service will take place on Tuesday, June 11th for residents within town limits. All you need to do is make sure your heavy trash is set out where you normally place your normal trash during regular pickup. Officials ask that you set the heavy trash out no more than 24 hours before pickup due to safety concerns. You know like neighborhood kids who think that old washing machine would make a good place to hide, or that trash pile would a fun mountain to climb.

If you have any questions about what will and won't be picked up, or you're not sure if your home falls within Newburgh town limits, call the Town of Newburgh office at 812-853-1720.
