Big Changes Brewing: The Wine Vault Is Moving to a New Location This Fall
The Wine Vault, a well-loved local gem for wine lovers and adventurous foodies alike, is getting ready to relocate, and owner Holly Edmond says it’s all part of growing to better serve the Evansville community.
A Local Favorite Is About to Get Even Better
After years at their current spot next to Panera Bread on Burkhardt Road, The Wine Vault is moving to a larger, more accessible location at 423 Metro Avenue, the former site of Great Harvest Bread Company.
What’s Changing
When asked about the move, Holly shared her excitement. “We are excited for more space, better parking and being away from construction. We hope to attract more customers since we will be more visible,” she said.
And visibility isn’t the only upgrade.
The new space means room for expansion, particularly in The Wine Vault’s growing beer selection. Holly hinted at introducing new items like sourdough bread to complement their high-end oils and vinegars.
Temporary Closure? Only a Day or Two
If you’re worried about not being able to get your wine fix, don’t fret. Holly says the team is working hard to minimize any downtime.
“There may be a bit of downtime but we hope to keep it to only a day or two. It’s gonna be some long nights so that we make sure the customers continue to have access to their wine needs!” she added.

Mark Your Calendars for October
If all goes according to plan, The Wine Vault aims to be fully operating at the new Metro Avenue location by the beginning of October. A grand reopening celebration is tentatively scheduled for the end of October, and Holly promises it’ll be a community event worth attending.

A Haven for Food Lovers, Not Just Wine Drinkers
The Wine Vault is known for more than just a great bottle of wine. If you’re someone who enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, you’ve probably already discovered their impressive selection of olive oils and balsamic vinegars—many of which are impossible to find anywhere else in Southern Indiana.
A personal favorite? The Olive & Vine Milanese Gremolata Olive Oil. Just a year ago, you'd have had to drive to Carmel, Indiana, to get a bottle. Now, The Wine Vault brings those flavors straight to Evansville.
