Why We Insist on Godbold Family Dinner Even Tho It’s a Circus [CONFESSIONS OF A CRAZY WOMAN]
Dinner time with three three-year-olds and a seven-year-old is frequently an absolute circus. We can't be the only ones who wish dinner time is good quality family time.
Instead it's:
- "sit in your seat" x 467
- "Please don't hit your brother!" x 28
- Kid - walking over to me, "I need to give you a hug" - NO YOU DON'T!
- Or my other favorite... playing let's make a deal with my 7 year old on how many bites to eat before he's done.
We put them back in their seat and continue to teach good manners but they are nuts. I will not give up. I will fight this fight because it's too important to have family dinner together ... even though it's madness, we are together. (unless someones is in time-out, then they are alone)
