The Music Behind the Musical

There are a few things I can tell you, for certain, about Waitress. I have not seen it, and before looking it up for this article, I couldn't have told you what it really was about. But what I have seen (probably about 100 times by now) is the duet of the show's centerpiece song, performed by Sara Bareilles (who wrote all of the original music) and Rufus Wainwright. It's one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard.
