It's a very exciting time in the science world! 

Three years ago, 29 year old Katie Bouman created analgorithm that enabled fellow scientists to capture an image of a black hole. The black hole is located at the center of the M87 galaxy, which is 55 million lights years away. If I'm being honest, I couldn't even tell you what galaxy we live in...don't worry, Bobby set me straight.

Anyway, Miss Bouman is from West Layfayette, IN. Yes, this super smart scientist is a Hoosier! Her dad is actually an engineering professor at Purdue University.

Oh, and we live in the milky way galaxy...Just in case you were lost, too.
