Get ready to enjoy the spirit of St. Patrick's Day with the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra this Saturday night.  

It's an evening of Irish music and dances from the Emerald Isle and its Northern neighbors featuring moments from "Braveheart," "Titanic," and "Far and Away.

The youngest ever winner of the Windsor Festival International String competition last year, 17 year old American violinist Nathan Meltzer will be the Guest Artist.  He's a protege of Itzhak Perlman and will perform Saint-Saëns' "Rondo Capriccioso" and the brilliant Bizet/Waxman "Carmen Fantasy."

The Irish celebration also includes music from  Malcolm Arnold's "Scottish Dances," Hamilton Harty's "Irish Symphony," Edvard Grieg's "Norwegian Dances" and Percy Grainger's "Irish Tune from County Derry" (aka Danny Boy).

You can also purchase tickets at the door two hours prior to the concert.  Club 2030 members can purchase a two-ticket maximum for $15.00 each, online only before 3 pm on Saturday.  More details on Evansville Philharmonic website.  Seniors age 65+ and active military receive 10% off their ticket.

Student Rush tickets are only $10 and can be purchased at the Sixth Street entrance with a valid student ID or with a parent, one hour prior to the concert.

The concert will be held at the Victory Theatre, 600 Main St. Evansville,IN  from 7 pm - 8:45 pm.
