Run Victoria 5k/10k Race & Friedman Park Opening Day Festival this Weekend to Benefit Warrick Trails

The second annual Run Victoria National 5k run/walk is coming up Saturday, May 27. And this year, a 10K run option is available!  Last year, my husband and I participated in the 5k which gave us a chance to see this beautiful golf course for the first time!   

The race starts at 8 am in Friedman Park (located at 2700 Park Drive off of Oak Grove Road in Newburgh) and will take you through the front 9 holes at Victoria National Golf Course in Newburgh.  Everyone is welcomed - families and children, and it's walker and stroller friendly too.  You'll be able to run or walk in the brand new $5.5 million Friedman Park celebrating their grand opening with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 7:30am.

10k Run - $35

Online registration is available only until midnight Thursday, May 25, 2017.  Late registration at the race start on Saturday, May 27 will be held from 6:30am - 7:45am but spots are limited.

Early packet pick-up (optional) will be available on Friday, May 26th from 2:30pm – 6pm at Ultimate Fit – 1308 S Green River Road, Evansville, IN 47715.

Join the fun after the race is over with a community festival of food trucks, kids activities, music, an auction and raffle items, park tours, and more!

Proceeds from this race directly support Warrick Trails to help fund new pathways and new paved trails throughout Warrick County. Volunteers will be adding 30 miles of new trails and shared roadway bike routes. Trails will be connected to the east side of Friedman Park to Boonville via an 8.5 mile shared roadway route. A new trail will be connected west from the park to a new trailhead on Anderson Road. From Anderson Road the trails will connect to the Vann Road ballfields.
