Remember the thrill of browsing through aisles at KB Toys, hunting for the latest action figures, or board games? Or the joy of finding the perfect outfit at The Limited, Express, or Contempo Casuals, which defined our fashion sense back then? These stores weren't just places to shop; they were cultural icons, creating memories and trends that defined a decade.
Whatever Happened to Gadzooks?
Gadzooks actually grew up - At least a little bit. The mall-based chain was absorbed by Forever 21.
KB Toys
If you are shopping for toys, you are probably looking at online stores these days. It looks like these ladies would prefer to have all of these purchases in an online shopping cart.
Wet Seal
If you loved Wet Seal back in the 90s, I have some good news for you! I found a whole section of Wet Seal brand clothes at threadup.com

Radio Shack
This might sound weird, but I can smell this photo of Radio Shack. You know, that weird combination of electronics, dust, and carpet? This could just be me LOL.
The Disney Store
I'm not the only one that misses having a Disney Store in Eastland Mall. Unfortunately, unless you find an outlet The Disney Store as we knew it is gone forever. There is an online store, but it is not as magical as being there in person.

Saturday Matinee
I absolutely loved this store. You kind of felt like a movie star just walking in. I do remember that this is where I bought some pretty sweet laser disks that are like a combination of a CD and a vinyl record that plays movies.
Charlotte Russe
Okay, I was very sad to see Charlotte Russe close forever. I found some really cute earrings there and they didn't make my ears break out.
Payless Shoes
According to the Payless website, they have something in the works. I'm guessing that they are not making a comeback in malls. They do have a global online shop, but it doesn't include North America.
WaldenBooks
Can you think of any bookstores that are still in malls? I can't think of any.
Gap
If you were to go back in time to the 90s, and you told people that one day Gap would not be open in the mall, they would call you crazy.
