If you like to move it, move it! You're gonna want to move it, move it to downtown Owensboro. Madagascar the Musical is rolling into the RiverPark Center this Fall.

Of course, the musical is based on the 2005 DreamWorks Animation film Madagascar.

In case you're unfamiliar with the plot of the story, various animals from the New York City Zoo find themselves stranded on the island of Madagascar.

The original movie, which featured the voices of Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, David Schwimmer, Jada Pinkett Smith, Sacha Baron Cohen, Cedric the Entertainer and more, was named Best Animated Movie at the Kids' Choice Awards.

Now that award-winning movie is a stage musical and the cast of characters (and animals) will be hitting the boards at RiverPark Center. Naturally, the show features songs from the original soundtrack.

Here's a preview of what you can expect!

Madagascar the Musical is part of the RiverPark's 2023-2024 Director's Series. Here's a look at the lineup so far, with a friendly hint that even more shows may be added.
