Le’Veon Bell TD Leads Steelers Past Chargers, 24-20
Le'Veon Bell scored on a 1-yard run off a direct snap as time expired, and the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Chargers, 24-20, in San Diego on Monday night.
After initially getting stacked up on the game’s final play, Bell rolled away from the scrum and dove into the end zone for the game-winning touchdown.
Pittsburgh (3-2) won thanks to a 12-play, 80-yard drive that answered a go-ahead, 54-yard field goal by Chargers’ kicker Josh Lambo with 2:56 to play.
Making his second consecutive start in place of the injured Ben Roethlisberger, Michael Vick threw for just 203 yards with a touchdown and an interception, but he did lead the game-winning drive. Bell finished with 21 carries for 111 yards.
Philip Rivers completed 35 of 48 passes for 365 yards with two touchdowns for San Diego (2-3).
