Last week, on the debut episode of Season 24 of Food Network's Worst Cooks in America, Kara and Eddie Anderson, who are from Leitchfield, Kentucky, battled with the other ten contestants pictured above.

Their challenge? To recreate a "surf and turf" dish demonstrated by the celebrity chef hosts, Anne Burrell and Cliff Crooks. The ultimate goal of that challenge?  To cook well enough to be chosen for teams led by Chef Burrell and Chef Crooks.

Well, the critiques for the Andersons didn't go very well.  In fact, as Kara explained to us on the morning show today, she was quite emotional about the fact that the judges weren't really impressed by her attempt and didn't really like her food

There was a big silver lining though at the end of the episode!  Kara and Eddie were both chosen for teams, which guaranteed them an appearance on the second episode of the season.  However, there was one small curve ball and catch. The happily married couple were split up and were chosen to cook for opposite teams.

On our show today, they talked about the fact that they're now officially opponents and what to expect on Episode #2.

Kara and Eddie are among 12 contestants this season vying for the grand prize of $25,000! Here at WBKR, they'll be joining us each Wednesday morning to preview that night's new episode.  We're rooting them on and we know many of you are too.

Worst Cooks in America airs on Food Network at 8pm CST each Wednesday night.
