What's The Most Popular Blizzard Flavor at Dairy Queen?

Each year, Dairy Queen locations around the country host Miracle Treat Day. It's a huge (and delicious) fundraiser for the Children's Miracle Network. The nonprofit raises money for and distributes funds to over 170 children's hospitals across the U.S.

Dairy Queen has a long and storied history of supporting the cause. Since the inception of Miracle Treat Day, in which DQ locations donate $1 for every Blizzard sold, Dairy Queen has raised over $185 MILLION DOLLARS for the network. That's an incredible amount of giving and an unbelievable amount of Blizzards sold.

As we celebrate Miracle Treat Day 2025, I decided to find out what the most popular Blizzard flavors are. Now, I must tell you that my personal favorite flavor is one that I kind of just made up. I love a good Heath Bar Blizzard, but years ago decided to add a little extra somethin' somethin' into the mix.

In trying to find out which Blizzard Dairy Queen customers are ordering most, I stumbled across a great online resource from Delish.

They cited research from Grand Canyon University that studied Google Trends from state to state. According to those findings, the most popular Blizzard flavor in Kentucky is the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Blizzard. Our neighbors to the north in Indiana seem to prefer the Turtle Pecan Cluster Blizzard. Our friends in Illinois, at least according to Google searches, seem to be in love with the Brownie Batter Blizzard.

As it turns out, the data from all 50 states shows two front runners: the Turtle Pecan Cluster Blizzard (the most researched flavor in 13 states) and the Oreo Blizzard (the most Google'd flavor in 11 states).

I also decided to ask ChatGPT what the most popular flavors are. It confirmed what I had always heard- that Oreo was the all-time fave.
